Mahale Mountain National Park can be reach from Kigoma by boat (3 to 10 hours, depending on the type of boat) or by private air charter to the small airstrip just outside the park.

Katavi National Park is best reached by private charter or our scheduled shared air charters.
Driving to Katavi is possible in the dry season but it is very difficult due to the distance and the condition of the roads.

Gombe Stream Park. The journey to Gombe from Kigoma is by boat and takes about 35 minutes to an hour depending on the type of boat used and the weather conditions.

Tarangire National Park. The easiest way to reach Tarangire is by vehicle from Arusha, a mere 2.5 hour drive. Arusha has a domestic airport and there is an international airport close by in Kilimanjaro.
